Digital Humanities +

Digital Humanities Plus is an initiative by the Institute for Digital Research of the Humanities of digial discussions. Our digital discussions will take place in two forms - as blog entries in The IDRH Corner and as podcast interviews in Digitalks. Together, these initiatives will serve two ends: (1) To introduce digital humanities and DH projects to a general academic audience and (2) To explore the various critical topics pertaining to digital methods and practices. Such issues include the inclusion of minority voices and viewpoints in DH, how DH projects can be conducted relative to the humanist and her interests, and how DH can serve a broad and global purpose.

This blog is dedicated to the sharing and discussion of the various ways the tools and lessons the digital humanities program offers for specific academic disciplines. On a monthly basis, IDRH will have entries speaking of the possible connections and projects researchers can engage in or take on specfic to their areas of interest. The Digital Humanities is a relatively new academic frontier that has proven beneficial to both the critical and pedagogical aspects of the humanities. Researches who have invested their time and efforts in exploring this new frontier have found it has enhanced and expanded their research horizons. For these reasons, we believe it is imperative that as many members of the academic community know of its benefits as possible. This blog will go towards that effort. We hope you enjoy!

The IDRH Corner

The IDRH DigiTalks (Pronounced: Digi-Talks) is a podcast dedicated to introducing and exploring digital humanities and DH projects by researchers at the University of Kansas and beyond. Digitalks will also explore topics currently untapped by traditional DH research.
