THATCamp 2025
Join the IDRH Team for THATCamp on Friday, August 22nd in the Hall Center for the Humanities!
About THATCamp
THATCamp, which stands for “The Humanities and Technology Camp,” is a digital humanities unconference that was started by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for New Media with support from the Mellon Foundation. While the website is now defunct, the format of THATCamp still thrives in DH communities. Over the course of a single day, participants from across the university community (and even beyond) come together to propose and vote on a series of topics, such as generative AI, workshops for specific tools, or digital humanities pedagogy.
Once the voting is finished and the schedule is decided, participants can choose which sessions they’d like to go to or volunteer to host a session on one of the proposed topics. At the end of the day, the whole community comes together to discuss what they’ve learned and what they’d like to continue exploring as part of a DH community throughout the rest of the academic year.
